Have you ever felt like you want to read something in your free time but don't know what to? Well, if you have, this article is a great way to find some new book suggestions. Reading books is very important and also a good thing to do when you are bored. It gives us knowledge, we get a lot of new information, and enriches our vocabulary.

Not knowing what to read in your free time is an active problem in our generation. After a lot of thinking about finding some great books for my article, I decided to ask my classmates. Because of that, I had a little research and asked my friends about their favorite genres and books. Results showed that the majority of people prefer reading adventure, detective, romance, and fantasy books.

The first one is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, a New York Times bestseller.

It is about a socially awkward and shy teenager, Charlie, who has just started the high-school, always watches life from the sidelines and misses his best friend that committed suicide. He writes letters about his feelings to an imaginary friend. Then, he becomes best friends with Patrick and his step-sister Sam. Charlie's life completely changes, and he discovers a new world with his friends.

One of my classmates even says: " I feel like it's the book about our generation. It describes everything that we go through in detail. The period of our lives when we're wallflowers, the following time when we're party animals, and the time when we find peace in our relationships and life. It has everything: the trauma, the drinking, the smoking, and most importantly, the love and its effects. "

The second book is The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

It is one of the most famous detective books in the world, and people that like this genre of literature must read it. Sherlock Holmes is a private detective who has keen powers of observation. He lives at 221b Baker Street in London. He notices things that others simply don't and then he draws accurate conclusions about what he sees. He experiences strong mood swings, plays the violin, and is a master of deductive reasoning.

These are some other books you can read that are popular amongst our peers:
