Intellect Club: Can You Solve the Riddle?

Beqa Ramishvili

Inspired by the classic television series, “What? Where? When?” that most of you have heard of, a group of juniors Irakli Begiashvili, Sandro Obgaidze, Sandro Kobakhidze, Andro Janashia, Konstantine Macahvariani, and Beqa Ramsihvili decided to dedicate themselves to recreating the famous series that has been around for decades, and has become very successful. It has encouraged the viewers to come up with questions, puzzles, and riddles, based on general knowledge and logic.

There have been many tournaments throughout Georgia that have implemented the same structure and tried to give the younger generations, in schools and in universities an opportunity to prove themselves, by showing off their general knowledge and critical thinking. That is what the club has tried to implement in the school: give the students an opportunity to prove themselves, enjoy themselves, and improve their critical analysis and knowledge while doing so.

The club has up to two dozen members and holds a meeting every week, Wednesday at 4:30 pm. It is fun, informative, and enlightening. During the club meetings, the students are divided into different teams and try to answer the questions provided by either of the club leaders. Later, the answers are discussed and analyzed.

Any interested, prospective members can join the club by reaching out to any of the founders; and finally, to end off the article, we would like to demonstrate one of the questions discussed at the club.
