The photo of the week from GZAAT photography club has been chosen! This time the theme was monochrome pictures. Students were instructed to send images that display a single color or different shades of a single color. The founders voted on the winner of the theme - Nino Loladze. She was interviewed to tell about the piece.
Interviewer: First of all congratulations! Tell us more about the image. Does the picture have a name? If so, what is it and does it have a special meaning to you?
Respondent: It has no name as my almost every picture. I have been drawing for a long time, and none of my paintings have a name either. I just do not give names to things I make.
Interviewer: What is the story behind the picture?
Respondent: I was walking around some park, actually don’t remember which, and I was just in the mood for taking pictures. It does not have some special story behind it.
Interviewer: What was your inspiration?
Respondent: As I was walking, listening to songs, one of the Beatles' songs made me energized and in the mood to take pictures.
Interviewer: Is this the style/theme that you usually work on?
Respondent: I do not have a particular theme or style chosen. It depends on the mood I am on the day I take pictures. I try different styles/themes depending on the mood I am in.
Interviewer: Have you taken any lessons or classes in this direction?
Respondent: No. And it is kind of the first year I started taking pictures.
Interviewer: It was nice to talk to you. Thank you for the interview!
Wishing all the other students luck, the founders of the club hope that more and more people will become engaged in this process and explore this part of themselves deeper. Remember you don’t have to be a professional, only thing you need to have is desire and love of taking pictures!
