Senior's Opinions and Predictions About the End of the School Year

Nino Ioseliani

The end of the school year must be an important event for the seniors as it is both an

ending and a new beginning. Leaving a place where you spent 4 years and established

great connections with not only classmates, but teachers as well must be very difficult. Therefore, the graduation ceremony is a very notable day for them. Since this year the graduation ceremony will be held during this huge pandemic, it is doubtful that it will be the same as any other graduations GZAAT has held. In this sense, it must be interesting how the graduation will be different from the past graduations and what the Seniors think about it. Class of 2021 were asked a few questions concerning this topic and their opinions about the way graduation will be held and generally how they feel about having to leave school.

The first question asked was about their last year at school and how they got to spend it during the pandemic. Most of the students said that the pandemic got in the way of them enjoying it to the fullest. The most common reason for them thinking this way was that they couldn’t come to school and spend time with their friends and teachers, couldn’t have their last AAT school trip to Italy, which they’ve been waiting for for years, no senior prank, and so on. However, there were some other answers that differed from these; some of the students said that they still enjoyed their last year as they could sleep in more and liked the online classes better as they could attend classes and be comfortable and cozy at home at the same time.

About the graduation itself, most of the students said that the graduation will still be pretty nice and exciting even though it will be held differently this year. As the students suppose,

the graduation will be held outside at school with 2 meter distance and only few people attending the ceremony. In addition, some of the students said that these are all the necessary things to do in order for the graduation to be safe and that besides all these restrictions, the graduation ceremony will still be very emotional and heartbreaking for them as they’ll be leaving a place they've been at for 4 years.
